What this does

Each holding records the security (name, symbol or identifier, type), quantity, and a price or value with its as-of date. Prices are entered manually; there is no live market data feed.

Market value changes on investments, property, or vehicles are valuations — they change net worth, not household income or spending.

How to

Add holdings

  1. 1Open Investments → Accounts and choose or add an account (mark taxable or tax-advantaged).
  2. 2Choose Add holding; enter security, quantity, price, and as-of date.
  3. 3Save. Account and net-worth values update.

Corrections, voids, and reversals

  • Edit quantity or price with a new as-of date; earlier valuations stay in history.

Audit trail

  • Each change records who, when, and the source (manual, import, or provider).

Availability and provider notes

  • Built – unverified: this workflow exists in the prelaunch product but has not yet completed human certification. Review results before relying on them.
  • Live brokerage holdings and prices: Provider connection required.
  • KontoCore Personal and WealthKraft organize your own records. They do not give investment, tax, or financial advice and do not place trades or move money.

Permissions

  • Household owners and members with edit access can change records; view-only members and trusted helpers see only what their scope allows.

What happens in your books

Holdings feed net worth only; they never post household income or spending.

Common mistakes

  • Entering a holding and also a manual account value for the same account (double counting).
