What this does
Contracts define a contract amount broken into schedule-of-values lines. Progress billings bill percent or amount complete per line and can withhold retainage.
Change orders adjust the contract; commitments track subcontracts and purchase commitments against the budget.
The WIP report compares costs to date, estimated costs, and billings to show over- or under-billing.
How to
Bill progress
- 1Create the contract and SOV lines on the project.
- 2Each period, enter percent complete per line.
- 3Review retainage and generate the progress invoice.
- 4Run WIP at period end.
