What this does
Setup creates your household, preferred view, and starting accounts. Household access lets others see or help without sharing your password; each person gets their own sign-in and explicit permissions.
How to
Set up
- 1Open Personal → Setup.
- 2Name the household; pick Simple or Detailed view.
- 3Add cash, bank, card, loan, and asset accounts (manually or by import).
- 4Finish; your overview appears.
Invite someone
- 1Open Personal → Household → Invite.
- 2Choose role (e.g. view-only, helper, full).
- 3Send; they accept with their own account. Remove access anytime.
Statuses and lifecycle
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Invited | Pending acceptance. |
| Active | Has access. |
| Removed | Access revoked; their past changes stay attributed. |
Permissions
- Only household owners invite or remove members.
What happens in your books
Setup creates accounts only; opening balances become starting values for net worth.
Common mistakes
- Sharing one login instead of inviting a member — you lose the record of who changed what.
Troubleshooting
Invite not received
