Home and Snapshot

Home answers “What should I do next?” Snapshot answers “What is happening in the business?” Both can be personalized per user.

What this does

Home is the task-first workspace: attention items, pinned shortcuts, and quick actions for common work such as creating an invoice, reviewing bank transactions, or reconciling.

Snapshot is the financial picture: cash and bank balances, receivables and payables aging, profit and loss, cash flow trend, Books Health, and review queues.

Each user can pin favorites, reorder the sidebar, and choose which Snapshot modules appear and in what order. These are personal preferences — they do not change records or what other users see.

How to

Personalize Home

  1. 1Open Home.
  2. 2Pin the actions you use most from the quick-action menu.
  3. 3Reorder or remove pinned shortcuts; favorites also appear in the sidebar.

Customize your Snapshot

  1. 1Open Snapshot and choose Customize.
  2. 2Show or hide modules, and move them to the order you want.
  3. 3Choose a size where the module supports it.
  4. 4Save. Your layout is kept for you in this company.

Act on attention items

  1. 1Select an attention item such as “3 bank transactions to review.”
  2. 2KontoCore opens the exact list or record that needs work.
  3. 3Complete the task; the item clears when the underlying condition is resolved.

Books Health

Books Health summarizes deterministic checks — reconciled accounts, unreviewed transactions, missing evidence, unposted drafts, and period readiness. It is not a score of your business performance; it reflects how complete and verified your books are.

Common mistakes

  • Assuming hiding a Snapshot module hides data from other users — it only changes your view.
  • Treating Books Health as an audit opinion. It reports check results, not assurance.

Troubleshooting

A module shows no data

The module may depend on records you haven’t created yet (for example A/R aging needs invoices), or your role may not include access to that area.
