Migration

Switch with a plan—and prove the result.

Choose the right conversion approach, stage the source carefully, review before posting, and verify that the new books agree to the records you trust.

Six controlled steps

Choose. Prepare. Import. Review. Verify. Go Live.

A conversion should produce explainable books, not merely move rows from one system to another.

01

Choose

Select the migration approach, source systems, organizations, periods, and records that matter.

02

Prepare

Export files, gather control reports, define mappings, and resolve missing source information.

03

Import

Stage accounts, contacts, balances, transactions, operational detail, and documents without silently changing the source.

04

Review

Inspect mapping, normalization, duplicates, validation exceptions, and proposed financial results before posting.

05

Verify

Prove balances, control accounts, aging, inventory or project totals, equity, and source-report agreement.

06

Go Live

Approve the controlled conversion, retain source provenance, and begin operating from verified opening or historical books.

Migration approaches

Match the move to the history you need.

A smaller clean start and a full historical conversion solve different problems. KontoCore keeps the decision explicit.

Full historical migration

Bring detailed transactions and history when continuity, comparison, and drill-down matter.

Clean start / opening balances

Move verified opening balances, outstanding AR/AP, inventory or project context where supported, and essential documents.

Assisted / complex migration

Plan entity, volume, source-quality, custom mapping, or remediation needs with a guided implementation scope.

What can move

Bring the records that make the books useful.

  • Chart of accounts and opening balances
  • Customers, vendors, and items
  • Open AR/AP and aging
  • Transactions and available history
  • Inventory and project information where supported
  • Documents, receipts, and linked evidence

Verification after conversion

Compare the Trial Balance and Balance Sheet, AR/AP and aging, bank and card balances, equity, inventory or project controls where supported, and agreed custom source totals. Exceptions remain visible until resolved or accepted.

Historical Restore

When source history needs remediation, Historical Restore follows a verified mirror: Mirror → Verify → Audit → Restore. Closed historical tax periods are never silently rewritten.

Source coverage

File-led by default. Direct where a provider allows it.

Guided CSV/XLSX migration is available in the current prelaunch product. Direct source connections require compatible provider access and are never implied to be one-click or universally available.
