If these steps don’t resolve the issue, contact us through the Contact page with the company name and what you tried. Support actions are handled by people; KontoCore does not change your books automatically on your behalf.
Troubleshooting
Bank balance doesn’t match
Compare the bank’s balance on a specific date with the KontoCore register on the same date. Review the queue for unreviewed items, look for pending bank transactions, duplicates, and transactions recorded to the wrong account.
Reconciliation difference isn’t zero
Verify statement date and ending balance, confirm the beginning balance equals the last reconciliation, look for an amount equal to the difference or half of it, and check for missing fees or interest.
Invoice/payment mismatch
The deposit was probably categorized as income instead of matched. Undo the categorization in banking, then match it to the received payment or receive payment against the invoice.
Duplicate imported records
Duplicates usually come from importing the same statement twice or linking an account twice. Exclude the duplicate lines in review; if already confirmed, undo them. Disconnect a duplicate link.
Missing invite email
Check spam and filtering, confirm the exact address, then resend or cancel and re-invite from Settings → Users. Pending invitations reserve a user slot.
Provider connection required
The capability depends on an external service not yet connected, or a connection needs you to sign in again. Reconnect from Settings → Integrations, or use the file-based alternative.
QBO connection/reconnect
Access tokens expire. Choose Reconnect on the migration page and sign in to Intuit again. Imported data stays in the source mirror.
Migration control total mismatch
Compare the source trial balance at the cutoff with KontoCore’s. Look for unmapped accounts, excluded duplicates, transactions dated outside the cutoff, and currency differences.
Item not appearing
The item may be inactive, the wrong type for the form (e.g. a sales-only item on a bill), or you may be in another company.
User cannot access company
Confirm they accepted the invitation with the same email, have a role in that company, and are selecting it in the company switcher.
Wrong company selected
Check the name in the top bar. Records entered in the wrong company must be voided there and re-entered in the correct company.
