What this does
Tax readiness lists expected documents (W-2s, 1099s, statements), shows which are uploaded, and flags uncategorized or unsupported items for the year.
Checkups are deterministic household checks — missing receipts, unreviewed items, stale valuations. KontoCore doesn’t file taxes or give tax advice; share the readiness package with your preparer.
How to
Prepare for the year
- 1Open Personal → Tax readiness and choose the year.
- 2Upload or match listed documents.
- 3Resolve flagged items.
- 4Export or share the package with your preparer (invite them via Household).
What happens in your books
Read-only checks; fixes happen in the underlying records.
Common mistakes
- Assuming a category means an item is deductible — confirm with your preparer.
Troubleshooting
Document still listed as missing
Upload it to the matching year and type.
