Reports
What this does
Every figure drills down to the underlying transactions and then to the source record and its evidence.
Reports run on accrual or cash basis and can be printed or saved as PDF from your browser. Core reports also export to CSV and Excel (XLSX) — see Exporting reports (Built – unverified).
How to
Drill into a number
- 1Open a report and select any amount.
- 2Review the transaction list behind it.
- 3Open a transaction to see its source record, evidence, and audit history.
Which report answers which question
| Report | Question it answers |
|---|---|
| Profit & loss | Did we make money over this period? |
| Balance sheet | What do we own and owe on this date? |
| Cash flow | Where did cash come from and go? |
| A/R aging | Who owes us, and how late are they? |
| A/P aging | Whom do we owe, and when is it due? |
| Trial balance / General ledger | Accountant-level detail of every account. |
Common mistakes
- Comparing a cash-basis report with an accrual-basis report.
- Reading profit as cash available — use cash flow for that.
