What this does
A goal has a name, target amount, optional target date, and a funding source: a linked account balance or tracked contributions.
Moving money into a goal account is a transfer, not spending. Investment growth in a linked account counts toward the goal balance as a valuation, not as income.
How to
Create a goal
- 1Personal → Plan → Goals → New goal.
- 2Enter name, target, and optional date.
- 3Link an account or choose tracked contributions.
- 4Save. Progress and the monthly amount needed appear.
Statuses and lifecycle
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| On track | Progress meets the pace needed for the date. |
| Behind | Below pace. |
| Reached | Target met. |
| Archived | Hidden; history kept. |
Corrections, voids, and reversals
- Edit target or date anytime; progress recalculates. Unlinking an account stops counting its balance.
Audit trail
- Goal changes record who and when.
Availability and provider notes
- Built – unverified: this workflow exists in the prelaunch product but has not yet completed human certification. Review results before relying on them.
- KontoCore Personal and WealthKraft organize your own records. They do not give investment, tax, or financial advice and do not place trades or move money.
Permissions
- Household owners and members with edit access can change records; view-only members and trusted helpers see only what their scope allows.
What happens in your books
Goals never create transactions; they read balances and contributions.
Common mistakes
- Linking the same account to several goals and expecting each to get the full balance.
