What this does
KontoCore is prepared to accept online invoice payments through a payment processor. Until a processor and its payment notifications are connected, no Pay button appears on invoices and no online payments are taken.
Once connected, a completed processor payment would record a customer payment against the invoice, with processor fees recorded separately.
How to
Today
- 1Record payments manually with Receive payment.
- 2Check Settings → Integrations → Payments for processor availability.
Availability and provider notes
- Built – unverified: this workflow exists in the prelaunch product but has not yet completed human certification. Review results before relying on them.
- Provider connection required: a payment processor and its payment notifications must be connected. No live payment button exists until then.
Permissions
- Owners and administrators manage payment connections.
What happens in your books
When connected, a $500 payment with a $15 fee would record:
| Account | Debit | Credit |
|---|---|---|
| Processor clearing | 485.00 | |
| Merchant fees | 15.00 | |
| Accounts Receivable | 500.00 |
Common mistakes
- Telling customers they can pay online before a processor is connected.
